Basketball Game Preview: Downers Grove North Trojans vs. Leyden Eagles

The Downers Grove North Trojans will head out to square off against the Leyden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Last Saturday, Downers Grove North was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap as they fell 37-33 to Lincoln-Way West.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Caitlin Sandridge, who posted ten points. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Adysen Fanta, who earned nine points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Leyden hadn't done well against Willowbrook recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Leyden claimed a resounding 53-26 win over Willowbrook.

Downers Grove North's loss dropped their record down to 19-9. As for Leyden, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-9 record this season.
