Basketball Game Preview: Dickson County Cougars vs. Good Hope Raiders

The Dickson County Cougars will wrap up 2024 with a road trip to face off against the Good Hope Raiders at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Last Thursday, Dickson County came up short against Creek Wood and fell 40-32. The Cougars haven't had much luck with the Red Hawks recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.

Keely Webb put forth a good effort for the losing side as she went 8 of 15 on her way to 21 points. The matchup was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Coralee Grove, who posted two points and four steals.

Meanwhile, Good Hope faced West Point in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Good Hope came out on top against West Point by a score of 56-46. The victory was familiar territory for the Raiders who have now won three games in a row.

Good Hope's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Dickson County, their loss dropped their record down to 3-6.
