Arlington and Reading Memorial are an even 5-5 against one another since June of 2021, but likely not for long. The Spy Ponders will be playing at home against the Rockets at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. Arlington has given up an average of 8.9 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Arlington managed to slip by Belmont the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Spy Ponders came up short against the Marauders on Tuesday, falling 13-7.

Hailey Lucente made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she launched this season. Mia Theiss was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Reading Memorial strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Lexington 16-5. The Rockets' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Reading Memorial pushed their record up to 5-0 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Arlington, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Arlington was able to grind out a solid victory over Reading Memorial in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, winning 7-2. Will the Spy Ponders repeat their success, or do the Rockets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
