Softball Recap: Lee Takes a Loss

Lee saw some tournament action on Thursday. They fell just short of the College Park Cavaliers by a score of 8-7. The Ganders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Gia Graham was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-1. Janesa Coronel was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-1.

Even though they lost, Lee hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most five strikeouts in five consecutive matches dating back to last season.

Lee's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

Lee wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 25-1 win against Benjamin Davis on the 14th. As for College Park, they have also already played their next game, an 8-7 victory against Robert Lee on the 13th.
