Volleyball Recap: Branson Comes Up Short

Branson was the 3-2 winner over Logan-Rogersville when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Pirates fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday.

Branson was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Logan-Rogersville work for it, especially in the fourth set. The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 18-25, 28-26, 15-10.

Emma Skoglund paced Branson's offense, picking up 20 kills. Skoglund got some help from Erinn Swofford and her 54 assists. Olivia Howard controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Branson's defeat dropped their record down to 14-9-4. As for Logan-Rogersville, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-2.

Coming up, Branson is taking a road trip to challenge West Plains at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Logan-Rogersville, they will be taking part in a tournament against Mid-Buchanan at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday.
