Basketball Game Preview: Harpursville Hornets vs. Greene Trojans

Harpursville hasn't had much luck against Greene recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Harpursville Hornets just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Greene Trojans at 7:15 p.m. Harpursville knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past three games -- so hopefully Greene likes a good challenge.

On Monday, Harpursville strolled past Afton with points to spare, taking the game 64-45. The matchup marked the Hornets' most dominant victory of the season.

Meanwhile, Greene was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by Sidney 71-43.

Harpursville's win bumped their record up to 5-6. As for Greene, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-10.

Harpursville was dealt a bruising 64-32 loss at the hands of Greene in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Harpursville avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
