Softball Recap: Martins Mill Comes Up Short

Martins Mill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They came up short against the Alba-Golden Panthers, falling 15-6. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Panthers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-2 on Tuesday.

Martins Mill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Alba-Golden, they pushed their record up to 13-10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Martins Mill will welcome Cumby at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Trojans have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.82 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Alba-Golden, they will be playing at home against Fruitvale at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
