It was a good run, but West Central unfortunately witnessed the end of their seven-game winning streak on Monday. They fell just short of the Dakota Valley Panthers by a score of 6-4. The Trojans were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Panthers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

West Central's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 12-1 and their overall record down to 17-2. As for Dakota Valley, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3.

West Central didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-7 loss against Lincoln on the 6th. As for Dakota Valley, they will welcome Centerville at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
