Preview: DSST: College View Wolves vs. William Smith Eagles
The DSST: College View Wolves will head out on the road to square off against the William Smith Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. DSST: College View knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past six matchups -- so hopefully William Smith likes a good challenge.
DSST: College View posted their biggest win yet this season on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 68-30 victory over STEM School Highlands Ranch. DSST: College View has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four games by 20 points or more this season.
Josue Tomita and Isaias Tomita were among the main playmakers for DSST: College View as the former scored 19 points and the latter dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 assists. Tomita is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Joshua Sosa, who scored seven points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, William Smith's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were beaten by DSST: Cedar 89-27. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for William Smith in their matchups with DSST: Cedar: they've now lost three in a row.
DSST: College View pushed their record up to 8-3 with that win, which was their third straight at home. They've been dominating during the matchups in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36 points. As for William Smith, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-4.
DSST: College View took their win against William Smith in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 by a conclusive 71-49. With DSST: College View ahead 31-0 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
