Soccer Recap: Haughton Takes a Loss

Haughton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They came up short against the Benton Tigers, falling 8-0. While losing is never fun, Haughton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Louisiana soccer rankings (they are ranked 126th, while Benton are ranked 44th).

Haughton's loss dropped their record down to 5-15-1. As for Benton, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 14-6-3.

Haughton wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and has already played their next contest, a 4-3 defeat against Parkway on the 2nd. As for Benton, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Calvary Baptist Academy on the 2nd.
