Football Recap: La Grange Takes a Loss

After flying high against C.H. Yoe last Friday, La Grange came back down to earth. The Leopards took a blow against the Columbus Cardinals on Friday, falling 49-7. The loss continues a trend for the Leopards in their meetings with the Cardinals: they've now lost four in a row.

La Grange's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Columbus, they pushed their record up to 1-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.

La Grange and Columbus should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings. The Leopards (ranked 378th) will meet Smithville (ranked 844th) at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Columbus will face off against Needville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday with a big rank advantage (77 vs. 243).
