Elder and La Salle played the most contested game in Greater Catholic - South this week, with Elder eventually emerging with a 24-22 victory.
Thanks to the talents of Nicholas Tensing and Ben Glines, St. Xavier has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Tensing is tops in the league in passing with 1,060 yards, while Glines has rushed for 715 yards this season. Tops in the league in receiving yards is the Lancers' Kevin Ferguson, with 247 yards on 13 catches.
The most important game in the league this week will be the match up between the Fighting Crusaders and the Bombers. Archbishop Moeller comes into the matchup ranked second in the state, while St. Xavier ranks 11th.
The top two defenses in the league will face off this season when John Rodenberg's team takes on Steve Specht's team. The Fighting Crusaders have allowed 197 points this season, while the Bombers have given up 171. Archbishop Moeller allowed 14 points last week as it defeated the Shamrocks.
The Fighting Crusaders led the league in scoring this week by notching 42 points on Trinity.
