Basketball Recap: Normal University Comes Up Short

If Normal University was feeling good fresh off their 55-20 takedown of Decatur Eisenhower last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Pioneers fell 47-43 to the Mahomet-Seymour Bulldogs on Thursday. The Pioneers have struggled against the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Normal University's defeat dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Mahomet-Seymour, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-11.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Normal University will square off against St. Teresa at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday. As for Mahomet-Seymour, they will host Urbana at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday.
