Soccer Game Preview: Eureka vs. Fortuna

Eureka is 2-8 against Fortuna since October of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Loggers will be playing at home against the Huskies at 3:30 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

While Eureka's victory against South Fork wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Loggers had just enough and edged out the Cubs 3-2 on Wednesday. Eureka haven't had any issues with South Fork recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Fortuna's matchup on Saturday was close up to the half, but then they kicked things up a notch. Everything went their way against McKinleyville as they made off with a 6-3 victory. Fortuna might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by three goals or more this season.

Eureka's win bumped their record up to 6-8-3. As for Fortuna, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1-1.
