Baseball Recap: Scott Gets the Win

While Scott's victory against Sherman wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Skyhawks narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Tide 2-0. The Skyhawks haven't had any issues with the Tide recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Kedron Elkins was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one home run.

Elkins wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Carter McClung, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one double and one RBI.

Scott was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sherman only posted a batting average of .000.

Scott's record is now 20-7-2. As for Sherman, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.

Scott wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 7-1 win against Wayne on the 9th. As for Sherman, they have also already played their next game, a 3-2 victory against Capital on the 9th.
