Richland Northeast hasn't had much luck on the road recently (they'd lost five straight dating back to last season) but thanks in part to Ke'Asia Belk that streak is no more. The Cavaliers breezed past the Columbia Capitals to the tune of 57-23 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Belk, who shot 50% from the field on her way to 25 points in addition to eight steals and seven rebounds. Richland Northeast is 2-1 when Belk posts 15 or more points, but 1-2 otherwise.

Linda Ellison was another key player, putting up ten points and seven steals. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 2.7 steals per game.

The win got Richland Northeast back to even at 3-3. As for Columbia, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Richland Northeast will head out to face off against Westwood at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Cavaliers' defense better be ready for this one: the Redhawks have averaged an impressive 55.6 points per game this season. As for Columbia, they will head out on the road to square off against Swansea at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
