Soccer Game Preview: China Spring vs. Taylor

The China Spring Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Taylor Ducks at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

China Spring took a loss when they played away from home last Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Mexia an 8-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Skylar Hicks as she scored five goals for her team.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last game, Taylor made sure to put some goals up on the board against Manor New Tech on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 4-0 margin over Manor New Tech.

Taylor is on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 17 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 51 goals over those 17 contests. China Spring's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 11-7-2.
