Slinger waltzed into their game on Friday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Whitefish Bay Blue Dukes. Those three runs were actually the fewest the Owls have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Slinger pushed their record up to 8-1 with the victory, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Whitefish Bay, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 6-1.

Looking ahead, Slinger will host Nicolet at 4:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Whitefish Bay, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 4-1 victory against Wauwatosa East on the 26th.
