Softball Game Preview: Garfield G-Men vs. Crestview Rebels

The Garfield G-Men are taking a road trip to challenge the Crestview Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Crestview took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Garfield, who comes in off a win.

On Thursday, Garfield needed a bit of extra time to put away Mineral Ridge. They skirted past the Rams 8-7. The win made it back-to-back victories for the G-Men.

Meanwhile, Crestview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Poland Seminary.

Crestview saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brenna Figley, who went 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Garfield's victory bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Crestview, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-6-1.

Garfield skirted past Crestview 5-4 when the teams last played back in April of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the G-Men since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
