Baseball Recap: Palmer Takes Down Ranked Wasilla

Palmer faced Wasilla in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Moose came out on top in a nail-biter against the Warriors, sneaking past 5-3. The Moose haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Timothy Bridgman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered just two earned (and one unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up nine Ks. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Palmer let Logan Garvin and Reed Craner run wild. Garvin went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI, while Craner got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one triple and one run. Those two hits gave Garvin a new career-high. Colton Drummond was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Palmer's victory bumped their record up to 10-6-1. As for Wasilla, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-9.
