Basketball Recap: Sealy Tigers vs. Almeta Crawford Chargers

After flying high against Harmony School of Innovation last Tuesday, Sealy came back down to earth. The Sealy Tigers took a 69-62 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Almeta Crawford Chargers on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 683rd, while the Chargers are ranked 327th).

Loss or not, Sealy got some senior leadership from Noah Washington and Kallan Hendry. Washington posted 20 points, while Hendry had 18 points. Hendry's evening made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Hale Demaree, who scored ten points.

Almeta Crawford found their leader in sophomore Alvin Mosley, who almost dropped a double-double on 30 points and nine rebounds. Mosley has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more steals the last ten times he's played. Darrion Boyd was another key player, dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 boards.

Sealy's defeat dropped their record down to 15-8. As for Almeta Crawford, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 20 of their last 22 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 25-7 record this season.

As of now, neither Sealy nor Almeta Crawford have any future games scheduled.
