Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Corbin Bowling and Clay Anderson Lead Fayette Academy to Victory

After losing to Westminster Academy the last time they met, Fayette Academy decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Fayette Academy Vikings enjoyed a cozy 74-57 win over the Westminster Academy Defenders on Tuesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Vikings.

Leading Fayette Academy to victory were Clay Anderson and Corbin Bowling. Anderson almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine boards, while Bowling went 8 for 13 en route to 20 points. The dominant performance gave Anderson a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Harris Armour, who posted 11 points.

Fayette Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-8. As for Westminster Academy, they are on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Fayette Academy is taking a road trip to take on University School of Jackson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fayette Academy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. Westminster Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
