Baseball Game Preview: Brandeis Broncos vs. Clark Cougars

For the second straight game, Brandeis will face off against Clark. The Broncos will take on the Cougars at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Brandeis will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.

For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Brandeis and Clark meet (three straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Wednesday. The Broncos skirted past the Cougars 4-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Broncos have posted since May 2, 2024.

Tanner Hallmark made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed seven innings while giving up just two earned runs off four hits. Hallmark was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Hallmark wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Hallmark, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3. That's the most runs Grayson has posted since back in March.

Brandeis pushed their record up to 12-4-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Clark, their defeat dropped their record down to 10-8.
