Baseball Recap: Concord Has No Trouble Against Mission San Jose

Concord had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the eight-run drubbing they dealt Mission San Jose on Thursday. The Concord Bears put the hurt on the Mission San Jose Warriors with a sharp 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Bears in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Max Dashner made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only one hit over seven innings pitched. Dashner was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing Two bases. while going 3-for-4. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Adrian Machado, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI. That stolen base marked the first that he snagged this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaron Hunt, who scored three runs and stole Two bases. while going 2-for-3.

Concord was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .419. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mission San Jose only posted a batting average of .048.
