Baseball Recap: Sudan Hornets vs. Tahoka Bulldogs
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sudan can now relate to. They lost 14-5 to the Tahoka Bulldogs on Friday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 11-4 on Thursday.
Sudan saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Caleb Groetken, who went 2-for-3 with one run and one double. Kooper Edwards also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.
This is the second loss in a row for Sudan and nudges their season record down to 17-11. As for Tahoka, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-9.
Sudan does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Tahoka, they will square off against Gruver on Thursday. The Greyhounds will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something the Bulldogs surely won't give up without a fight.
