Basketball Recap: Lassen Piles Up the Points Against CORE Butte

Lassen had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat the CORE Butte Lynx 68-33. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Grizzlies have posted since December 14, 2024.

Lassen's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Connor Kirack, who posted 11 points and five rebounds. That's the most points Kirack has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Joey Harrison, who earned ten points.

Lassen smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive boards. They are 3-10 when they hit their own glass that hard.

Lassen's victory bumped their record up to 3-14. As for CORE Butte, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lassen and Anderson will meet on Tuesday for a tough Bear Battle. As for CORE Butte, they will head out to take on Los Molinos at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
