Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Lamario Dorsey and Matthew Baze Lead Loganville to Victory

There's no place like home for Loganville, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They came out on top against the Alcovy Tigers by a score of 20-7 on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Red Devils also won the last time the pair played back in November of 2024.

Loganville was led to victory by Matthew Baze and Lamario Dorsey. Baze rushed for 164 yards while picking up 8.2 yards per carry, while Dorsey rushed for 59 yards and two TDs. Those 164 rushing yards gave Baze a new career-high.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Loganville was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 269 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Loganville's defense and their three sacks. In that department, Brelon Martin was the leader with two. Another thorn in Alcovy's side was Kaden Derbridge, who forced one fumble and made nine total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Loganville's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Alcovy, this is the second loss in a row for them and also nudges their season record down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Loganville nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
