Denver East piles up the points against Westminster

Recap: Denver East Angels vs. Westminster Wolves

The Denver East Angels scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 90-54 victory over Westminster. The win was a breath of fresh air for Denver East as it put an end to their four-game losing streak.

Leading Denver East to victory were Maurice Fulcher and Fabian Morris. Fulcher scored 13 points along with six rebounds and five steals, while Morris dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds. That's the first time this season that Morris pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Ehud Tesfoye, who scored 14 points along with two steals.

Despite the loss, Westminster still got an impressive performance from Daigan Gray, who scored 17 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks. Gray hasn't dropped below 15points for five straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Victoria Morales, who scored ten points along with two steals.

Denver East now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Westminster, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-12.

Denver East will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Thomas Jefferson at 7:30 p.m. Thomas Jefferson knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully Denver East likes a good challenge. As for Westminster, they will head out on the road to take on Far Northeast W at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
