Volleyball Recap: Tuesday's Loss Ends Brazos' Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Brazos unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 3-0 to the Weimar Wildcats. The Cougars were not able to make up for their loss to the Wildcats from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

While Brazos was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-11, 25-22.

McKenna Stroud paced Brazos' offense, picking up eight kills. Stroud got some help from Blair Warren and her nine assists. Stroud was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Brazos' defeat dropped their record down to 18-14. As for Weimar, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-10 record this season.

Brazos will challenge Hitchcock at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. This will be the Cougars' first chance to prove their worth in the conference. As for Weimar, they will square off against Round Top-Carmine at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
