Baseball Recap: Faith Christian Takes a Loss

Faith Christian fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Wellborn on Monday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wellborn Panthers by a score of 5-3. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Faith Christian saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colton Reese, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. That's the most hits Reese has posted since back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Faith Christian and nudges their season record down to 6-4. As for Wellborn, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-7.

Coming up, Faith Christian will venture away from home to square off against Anniston at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Wellborn, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Wellborn Panthers duke it out with Randolph County Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
