Basketball Recap: Marquette Comes Up Short

Marquette suffered their closest loss since January 4, 2024 on Wednesday. They fell just short of the Calumet Copper Kings by a score of 52-50. The Redmen have struggled against the Copper Kings recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Marquette's defeat dropped their record down to 7-12. As for Calumet, they have been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 11-6 record this season.

Marquette didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 48-22 loss against Negaunee on the 14th. As for Calumet, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 48-37 win against West Iron County on the 14th.
