Football Recap: Port Gibson Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Port Gibson played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were dealt a 44-6 defeat at the hands of the Ouachita Parish Lions. The Blue Waves were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-6.

Montrell Conner had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 117 yards and four TDs, while also punching in one score on the ground for Ouachita Parish. Cam Williams helped Conner out on the ground, rushing for 69 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only nine carries.

Port Gibson's loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Ouachita Parish, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Port Gibson will head out to face off against Hazlehurst at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Blue Waves their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Ouachita Parish, they will take on Franklin Parish at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots' defense has only allowed 11.5 points per game this season, so the Lions' offense will have their work cut out for them.
