It was a good run, but  Wright unfortunately witnessed the end of their  seven-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Jeffers Jets by a score of  4-3. The Red Devils were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Jets earlier this season, when they won  12-2.
 Landon Buerger spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and three unearned) runs on six hits and racked up six Ks.
 On the hitting side, Wright saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Madden Sommer, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run and one  double. Another  was  Ethan Gallo, who  went 1-for-2 with one  run and one  double.
Wright's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Jeffers, the  win was their first  on the road , bumping their record up to 7-3.
 Coming up, Wright will square off against Tomahawk at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Red Devils are facing the Hatchets at the right time seeing as the Hatchets are stuck on  a  three-game losing streak. As for Jeffers, they will welcome Calumet  on Saturday.
