After a string of seven wins, Big Sky's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They took a 51-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Capital Bruins. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bruins apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Big Sky's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 7-3. As for Capital, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-5.

Big Sky has already played their next contest (against Helena), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Capital is taking a road trip to square off against Butte at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Butte has insisted on making their lastthree contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 0-3 during that stretch of close contests.
