Baseball Recap: Tarpon Springs Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Tarpon Springs was a bit more limited in their matchup on Wednesday. They fell 5-1 to the Largo Packers. The Spongers have struggled against the Packers recently, as the game was their third consecutive lost meetings.

Tarpon Springs' loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Largo, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Tarpon Springs will take on Victory Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Victory Christian Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.6 runs per game this season. As for Largo, they will face off against Pinellas Park at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Largo's pitching crew has only allowed 2.5 runs per game this season, so Pinellas Park's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
