Softball Recap: Westwood Cardinals vs. Northern Highlands Highlanders
Westwood hadn't done well against Northern Highlands recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Cardinals skirted past the Highlanders 5-4. This was payback for the Cardinals, who suffered an 11-7 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Ella Ianni spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and two unearned) runs on eight hits and racked up ten Ks.
