Volleyball Recap: Byron Nelson Starts off Right with Win over Flower Mound

Byron Nelson took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Flower Mound Jaguars. Winning may never get old, but the Bobcat sure are getting used to it with their 37th in a row dating back to last season.

Byron Nelson walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the third set). The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20, 25-12.

Byron Nelson can attribute much of their success to Savannah Sterna, who had six digs and four assists.

Byron Nelson was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 11 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

Looking ahead, Byron Nelson will challenge Sierra Canyon at 8:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Flower Mound, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Allen at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
