Softball Recap: Zumbrota-Mazeppa Comes Up Short

Zumbrota-Mazeppa fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Goodhue on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Zumbrota-Mazeppa will take on Cannon Falls at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Goodhue, they will face off against Kenyon-Wanamingo at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.71 runs per game on average), something the Wildcats will no doubt try to take advantage of.
