Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Granby's Sixth in Last Seven Outings

Granby and Manor pushed the score to 14-7 the last time they played Manor, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Comets' pitchers stepped up to hand the Mustangs a 1-0 shutout. That's two games straight that the Comets have won by just one run.

Granby is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 7-4 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Manor, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
