Football Recap: Cypress Bay Finds Home Field Redemption Against Cooper City

There's no place like home for Cypress Bay, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Wednesday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Cooper City Cowboys a 12-0 shutout on Thursday. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but the Lightning were the (much) better team in the second half.

Cypress Bay's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 3.5 points on average over those games. As for Cooper City, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-7.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cypress Bay will head out to challenge South Broward at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
