Football Recap: Central Lions vs. Whitewater Wildcats
If Central was feeling good fresh off their 25-0 takedown of Douglas County last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Central Lions fell 13-6 to the Whitewater Wildcats on Monday. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Central has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season. As for Whitewater, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-5.
Central wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 20-13 defeat against South Paulding on the 28th. Whitewater has also already played their next game, a 9-7 victory against Carrollton on the 30th.
