Recap: Palm Beach Lakes Rams vs. Dillard Panthers
If the Palm Beach Lakes Rams were riding high off their 61-25 takedown of the Jupiter Warriors last Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Palm Beach Lakes was dealt a 57-27 loss at the hands of Dillard on Saturday. Palm Beach Lakes lost against Dillard in their previous head to head back in November of 2021, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 51-23 score last time.
Several Rams players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Myla Jones, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds and three steals. Jones has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Tra'Kyrrah Leconte, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Palm Beach Lakes' loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Dillard, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palm Beach Lakes will take on Royal Palm Beach at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Royal Palm Beach will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings (they are ranked 406th, while Palm Beach Lakes is ranked 196th). Dillard is on the road again on Monday and play against Coral Springs at 6:30 p.m. on December 4th.
