Basketball Recap: Colome Takes a Loss

Colome and Burke squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Colome had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Burke Cougars 75-14. The loss leaves the Cowboys still looking for their first win of the season.

Burke found their leader in sophomore Ryggan Lambley, who made all 5 shots he took for 12 points. The dominant performance gave Lambley a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brody Indahl, who posted nine points and five steals.

Colome's defeat dropped their record down to 0-19. As for Burke, they pushed their record up to 3-18 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

Colome does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Burke, they will venture away from home to challenge Lyman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Burke's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three contests.
