Softball Recap: St. Edward Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact St. Edward can now relate to. They came up short against the Marquette Crusaders on Wednesday, falling 8-0. The shutout was out of character for the Green Wave seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

St. Edward saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sarah Gurley, who went 2-for-3 with one triple.

St. Edward's loss dropped their record down to 16-15. As for Marquette, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 26-6.

As of now, neither St. Edward nor the Crusaders have any future games scheduled.
