Yorktown is a perfect 9-0 against Wakefield since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Patriots are taking a road trip to face off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

Yorktown is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering West Springfield just ended the team's three-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Spartans, falling 31-7. The contest marked the Patriots' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Sammy Keiser put forth a good effort for the losing side as he picked up 91 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, Wakefield played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Langley, falling 56-7. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-7.

The defeat was their first at home , dropping their record down to 4-3. As for Wakefield, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Yorktown took their victory against Wakefield in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 38-16 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Patriots since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
