Baseball Recap: Tinley Park's Luck Changes for the Better on Friday

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Tinley Park had no problem doing just that on Friday. They never let the Crete-Monee Warriors get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory. The win was some much needed relief for the Titans as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Austin Brazitis tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out eight over six innings pitched. Those eight strikeouts gave him a new career-high.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Danny Weed, who went 2-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI. Dylan Hullinger was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one triple and one RBI.

Tinley Park's victory bumped their record up to 18-16. As for Crete-Monee, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 21-14.

As of now, neither Tinley Park nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
