Volleyball Recap: Gilmer Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Gilmer lost against Calhoun back in August, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Bobcats fell 2-0 to the Yellow Jackets. The Bobcats have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Gilmer ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17.

Calhoun's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chloe Edens, who had ten digs and three assists. That's the most assists Edens has posted since back in August. The team also got some help courtesy of Addie Hite, who had 11 assists and three aces.

Gilmer's defeat dropped their record down to 9-15. As for Calhoun, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 20-7.

Coincidentally, Gilmer and Calhoun will both be playing LaFayette the next time they take the court. The Bobcats will head out to face the Ramblers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while the Yellow Jackets will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
