Volleyball Game Preview: Plattsburg Tigers vs. Northland Christian

Plattsburg is 2-7 against Northland Christian since September of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Tigers will head out to face off against Northland Christian at 6:00 p.m. Plattsburg will be strutting in after a win while Northland Christian will be coming in after a defeat.

On Thursday, Plattsburg earned a 3-1 victory over Lathrop. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Tigers.

In the three sets Plattsburg was on fire: they won each by at least 12 points. The match finished with set scores of 24-26, 25-10, 25-13, 25-11.

Plattsburg can attribute much of their success to Izzy Parra, who had 15 digs. Parra is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Plattsburg was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 22 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least eight aces in five consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Northland Christian didn't have quite enough to beat Archie on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Plattsburg's win bumped their record up to 18-6-2. As for Northland Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 19-4-3.

Plattsburg skirted past Northland Christian 3-2 in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Tigers since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
