Archbishop Curley extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to eight on Monday, dropping them down to 0-6. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 66-61 heartbreaker at the hands of the New Hope Academy National Tigers. On the bright side, the 61- point effort marked the Friars' highest-scoring game to date.

As for New Hope Academy National, they now have a winning record of 3-2. The victory continues a trend for them in their matchups with Archbishop Curley: they've now won three in a row.

New Hope Academy National's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Uriah Augare-Deal led the charge by dropping a double-double with 22 points and 11 boards. Augare-Deal is also crushing it when it comes to blocks: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. Shawn Lockhart was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and nine rebounds.
