It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Shakamak had no problem doing just that on Saturday. They blew past the Dugger Union Bulldogs 14-1. Considering the Lakers have won eight matchups by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.

The win (which was Shakamak's sixth in a row) raised their record to 14-7. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Dugger Union, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-14-1 record this season.

Shakamak will square off against Clay City at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Eels' pitching crew has only allowed 3.9 runs per game this season, so the Lakers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Dugger Union does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
